Finally!!!!
Well, after a very long and pretty uneventfull bow season and a slow start to gun season, I got a break. He came out in a cut over chasing a doe and he managed to run her into the drainage below me and out of sight. Well, about 15 minutes rolled by and here she came hauling white tail out of the drainage and he followed suit. She made a loop back around and he started to follow. I grunted and he didn't even notice so I grunted again, this time with a little more feeling and he stopped. Couldn't wait any longer so I let him have it. I started out of my stand to go check him out and saw a bigger bodied deer run off about 50 yards beyond where he was laying. I didn't get a great look at his rack but he was pretty tall. So, that's my one buck for the year. He scored 125 6/8 and weighed in at 200 pounds even. Not a giant but heavy and wide, not to mention a great experience. Maybe my pal Rog will get a crack at the big boy.
