Default Let's confess...how many of you have done this...

Just got back from hunting this morning. Went to check a cam and, as always, change out my card. There was sign of activity since the last time I checked last week so I couldn't wait to see what might be moving. Got back to the house and...the card was empty! I know I changed out the card so I guess the only thing that could have happened is that I forgot to turn the darn cam on when I left!

i've forgotten to turn the camera on a time or two. i've also forgotten to format the cards before using it, two of my cameras sat there for 6 weeks and didn't take a single picture. the cameras both showed that there were pictures "taken" but they weren't being saved to the card. very frustrating.

I forgot to turn on my Scoutguard once this year. I had been getting some nice videos and was pumped to check it. I get there and no pics and camera OFF

I was bummed.

I've done that a few times too.. I have also taken the card out and put the same one back in by mistake and formatted it before I realized it...

Totally normal..

Ok, looks like I get a pass on this one. I pulled the ol' sleight of hand on myself this time. I had several SD cards in my pocket and thought I pulled them all out. This afternoon I found the other and the images were on there!

Here's one I will share. Looks like it's going to be a promising spring:

Not sure if this helps or not, but I keep a digital camera in my pack....when I go to swap cards, I use the camera as a viewer and go through all the pictures. Sometimes I just put the same card back in, but..it's a reminder for me to power up the camera after I put the new card in.

Yeah me too - and I know that's when the big one was smiling in front of my cam.

It doesn't do any good to turn my camera on, the battery only last about 1-2 Days. It's on the tree over a scrape just so the deer will be use to it if I ever get a REAL Camera...
