10 year old Sons 1st Deer!
On the ground, walk in to where I saw a scrape line last Sunday, Find a seat on a little creek ridge. We just get settled good and I go to bleating. Then take a small branch work the ground over real good with it. Stirring the leaves up and making a little racket. Less than 1 minute and a 1/2 I hear this guy moving down the hill towards us. Like he was on a string he shows himself. We watch him work his way closer to us. My son is calm just enjoying this up close experience. He has him in the scope the entire time. I ask him "do you want to shoot that deer?" He said ok. Dropped him right there a 40 yd shot. My sons 1st deer. Nice 5pt skull mount coming up. My favorite hunt so far!

Great first deer! Don't know about you but I think I get more nervous than they do when a kid kills there first deer.
