Sign reads "American Heritage Gun Range" coming soon! Just saw it tonight! I can walk to it in less than 5 minutes! I am pumped! It is a huge facility so I hope they will have a rifle range.

I noticed the Stockbridge Army/Navy store has a big sign out front "shooting range coming soon" I wonder if there is a connection?

Ok this is the info fed to me today. The old owner of the pawn shop on the Mcdonough square sold it to a group of investors and the same investors are the one that bought the old 84 lumber bldg and they are the ones opening the gun range in it. Right now a pistol (25 yrd) range is going up first then rifle ranges are coming 2nd if the shop is a success. RUMOR has it they also bought ten acres on hwy 81/20 across 75 (racetrack side of 81/20)and are applying to put another rifle and big gun only range on that ten acres.

Buck Nasty, I was told George was the old owner and sold it to a group of investors and now he is just a manager at the "On the square pawn". I want you all to know that this is all here say and I am just letting you guys know what I hear. Some of these people are LEO and some are Mcdonough employees. So please do not quote me or get upset at me if you find out other info. Just thought it would be good news to have a new gun range in town and wanted to share with all gun/hunting enthusiasts.

Yeah, but it sure is nice when it's cold and rainy or windy.

I have not heard of that one before. I have a range to shoot at but always interested in additional training.

I may have to look into it and maybe try a class. Rates are pretty reasonable if the instructors and class content are any good.

Awesome for the new range at 84 lumber. 4g tactical sounds great and all, but an appnt to shoot some guns, c'mon now, that's a little bit of a PIA. On the Square Pawn is a huge no go, rude as Edited To Remove ProfanityEdited To Remove ProfanityEdited To Remove ProfanityEdited To Remove Profanity. Something don't seem right or legit about that place, had a buddy from North side of town stop by there and said the same thing.

Just got back from 4 g tactical range. Very happy with the layout. You get to shot prone out to 450. Not many ranges allow that. Out of all the rifle ranges we have been to in GA my wife & I enjoyed it the most. We will be going back as long as he has it.

Took the Basic pistol class Saturday at 4G and was very happy. Small class only 2 of us. Class is very comprehensive, Paul skipped a bunch of the basics since we both had carry permits and about 20 years of pistol experience. Class is 90% range time and everything is geared around draw and fire exercises. Training is equivalent to Police / Armed security Guard. End of the class you get take a qualification test.

http://www.4gtactical.com/BasicPistol.html

Cannot beat the value for this training.
Not for any new regulations, but common sense should tell you if you are going to carry, get some training on how to deploy and use it.

Boy i dont know where that came from, the Army Navy store has the most friendly, courtesy staff I have ever dealt with. I will promise you anyone on this forum who has dealt with them will tell you the same.

Russ and his staff in the gun shop are a stand up group of guys and i promise you, you won't find any better bow techs on the southside in my opinion. Matt is the only person i trust to work on my bow.

Ive found much better help and general friendliness at Autreys , maybe it was just a bad day for the guys there, who knows. But on a few occasions going there it wasnt the best experience.
I stood at the counter forever, my questions were answered like I was ignorant about guns. Just wasnt the place for me.
If I need gun shop-level help ill go to Autreys, other than that its Academy.
Sorry, didnt mean to bash anyone, just wasn't happy shopping there. I cant say anything about the bow shop in rear though.

Not sure about this. Never and I mean never have I heard of a bad experience from Stockbridge Army/Navy store. Now on the other hand, if you go the other way on 42 to the other gun store in the area, don't think I've heard of any good experiences.
