Question for the bge guys
I have to cook 8 butts for a fundraiser supper for a woman who has cancer here and was wondering how many butts can you cook on a large egg at once.I have never cooked more than 2 at a time but thought I might could do 4 and refrigerate them while the other ones cooked.

I have done 5 on my large BGE. I bought the rack that gives you 3 levels.

Never tried more than 3. If I have to do more I roll out the trailer..Good luck, Great Cause..

Whew!Started Thursday night and finished this morning about 630.I ended up getting all 8 and they were fall apert tender,I was to tired to remember to get pics but I do know this would have never been possible without my egg.My old smoker would have to be filled every hour but the egg I only had to get up every 3 hrs. and check the temp of my egg.We have a pile of pulled pork for the fundraiser and my brother is bringing 4 more butts so we should be good for a few sandwiches lol.
