Spent this week so far on both the river and Allatoona. The lake bite has been GREAT but the river bite has been CRAZY!!!

I had my best couple days on the river for numbers of fish this year! Today and earlier in the week I was on the toona due to weather and the holiday. Its nice to do some half day trips. Off the water before it gets to hot and crowded! We found a HUGE school of hybrids and stripers out there today! Even after the school broke up or we lost them we were still able to catch fish all the way to the end of the trip. They seemed to move down to the bottom in between 18 to 24 feet. Going that shallow of a bottom also made or shad die very fast so we had to change them every 5 min. if we didnt get hit. On the later bite we werent doubling and tripling but we were still able to get one every 5 to 10 min. Here are some pics from today. Yes that is AStrick in the background of pic #3. We tag teamed them a little today! I think we may even have a 2nd Bayou Betty in the making in pic #4!!!
