Default Stock Market?

In 1987 the Dow Jones average fell from 2200 points to 1700 points. About 500 points.

Today the market is at 25000 points. If it fell from 25000 to 20000, 5000 points, in one session would people understand that would be less of a % drop than in 1987.

Or would it create panic.

Who knows. People are stupid when it comes to the stock market. Best thing to do if it falls to 20K is to sit tight on what you own, and buy more.

Yes I am amazed at all the new vehicles on the road in the last several months. Gas prices are climbing though.

I am torn, about taking the profit. I have to take out so much each year anyway, but I usually just put it in a personal account fund. I am ready to hit the road and spend some of my kids inheritance. Just got to get the wife on board. Ever time I bring it up, she says, "What if live into our 90's?" I say, I wont need no money then.

I have made more in this last year than in the previous two by about a multiple of five. So I'm taking some profits to finish my cabin.
I only hope the new tax cuts help me a little.

Take your money out. Leave the "house's money" in. It's a semi defensive stance. You may lose the profit but you won't lose the principal.
