Then this fall, find out what kinds of fertilizer you can get your hands on. Let us know and we can help guide you with that, too.

A common grade of fertilizer is 10-10-10. You'll need 3 bags of that. 3 bags is equal to 15 lbs of nitrogen, 15 lbs of phosphorous and 15 lbs of potassium. 15 x 4 = 60 lbs of each, per acre, but since you're only doing 1/4 acre you need 1/4 of that.

If you can find 0-20-20, put down 3 bags of that, as well. That will give you no nitrogen, but 30 lbs of phosphorus and 30 lbs of potassium. 30 x 4 = 120 lbs of each.

So, by putting the 6 bags for fertilizer down, just before you plant and work it into the top 4" of soil, you will have applied fertilizer at the rate of 60 lbs of Nitrogen and 120 lbs of Phosphorus and 120 lbs of Potassium. You will have exceeded your requirement of 50, 100 and 90, by a little bit, which will not hurt anything at all. Clover loves Phosphorus and Potassium.

Thank you!!
