St. George Island State Park Ramp

Taking my small skiff down to St George in a couple days. Weighs about 700 pounds including the trailer.

I've always brought my 4x4 down there when going to St. George because I'm afraid I'd get the front wheel drive car stuck on the sand/shell mix ramp on St. George.

However, my wife wants me to use the FWD car this time (I'll save you the story).

Any experience with either St. George Park ramps and FWD?

Thanks!

I don't think youd have any trouble. It very well used and packed ground. With a boat that small I wouldn't worry at all.

I agree...you should be fine. Before launching just inspect the ramp to insure you don't back the trailer or rear wheels into any holes that may be present..especially when you pull it out.

Good luck!

I would use the ramp on the main road not the one for small boats and kayaks on the side road. If you get a good rain the big one will get slick also.
