Hebrew Nationals....smothered in Hormel chili. Does that negate the Kosher? :D

Probably so but I'd tear them up all day long! Some folks don't like canned chili but it ain't bad in a pinch.

Not if you don't tell the Rabbi about it. My previous physician before he retired was Jewish. That boy could flat out extol the virtues of ham sandwiches w/American cheese while telling me I got to cut my cholesterol level.

We cut a deal. I didn't tell his Rabbi about the ham sandwiches and he cut me some slack on my cholesterol.:biggrin2:

What was he after he retired? Full gospel? :stir:

Chili is ordinarily made with beef, and wouldn't make a Hebrew National unkosher.

Cooking them on a grill where you had cooked pork would.

So can we confirm that is in fact beef in Hormel Chili?

Wouldn't that depend on which cut of beef was used?

Maybe I'm not understanding the question, but if the cow is slaughtered in accord with Kosher law, all parts of the beast are kosher.

There are other rules about how to cook it that wouldn't usually apply to chili.
