Congrats on your trip and catching Trout..My Wife and I took a trip to NZ in 1990..The Trout in the streams around Rotorua were the biggest I ever saw..When we were there Trout season was closed due to spawning.. Best trip we ever had, beautiful scenery and friendly helpful people..Wanted to go back but we never will now..
