I've been gone from the forum for a while, college will do that to you! Thought I would share yesterday's catch with y'all. I fought this carp for over two hours on an 8 wt Tibor Everglades and 6 wt Sage XP combo. Biggest fish i've caught on the fly!

Bet that was fun!

First fish that I ever caught on a flyrod was a carp around 6 lbs fishing from the bank on Oconee.

Talk about a fight!

I caught him on a hi-vis foam water bug. I've had good luck with carp on various grasshopper imitations as well.
