Found a fairly fresh scrape close by about 2 weeks ago. The main rut in Haralson County is usually in November

Raises the question, We all know some does don't get bred during the rut or even deer season. Once the bucks drop their antlers and their testosterone drops, if they find a doe in estrus will/can they breed? OR do they become like a gelding horse or a neutered dog and show some interest but don't do anything?
Maybe a question for the Biologist. Mr. C.K.?
