Two Years on Crooked Creek

When Ramona and I moved into our house here on Crooked Creek two years ago I had no idea how much I would grow to love this place. Our home is beautiful but obviously my favorite part is being outside.



The creek is just a few steps from our front door. I can paddle to the right and soon be in Lake Sinclair.



But when I paddle to the left, a whole new and different world opens! Max and I paddled across the lake yesterday but today we hung a left and went up the creek!







There was plenty of water in the creek today, so we not only made it to the old bridge, but we paddled all the way to the “Talking Rocks!” How could it be possible to be any more blessed?











Cost of today’s trip? Just a bit of elbow grease. Value of the trip? Absolutely priceless!! We hope you enjoy today’s photos!

Mr. Buck is thin skinned, zero fat and hair like velvet.
He gets real cold but he got his own stuff..

He and Max will get along good!

I have a creek boat big enough for all of us.

Makes me miss being up on Crooked Creek. We hope to be back up next door in May. We have to get past baseball season before we can come up for a weekend.
