A group of guys from our church are headed up to Toto creek for some good fellowship, camping, cooking out, and a little fishing. We'll be using a couple of pontoon boats. Looking to get some of the guys that don't do a lot of fishing (or anything outdoors) on a few fish. Striper, spots, crappie. It doesn't really matter to us. Some of the guys are bringing there sons in the range of 9-13 years old. Would love to get them on a striped or two. Any tips would greatly be appreciated. I know we'll be under a bridge Friday night dropping some minnows and herring to see what happens, but would love some more input.

Thanks and God Bless

Always have pretty good luck fishing herring, shinners and worms on the bottom at night from bank or boat around six mile. Mainly cats and a stripper every once in while.
Good luck hope yall put those kids on some fish.
Remember to have those poles in hand or locked down have lost a few.

Downline herring in 30-80 FoW, varying depth of the placement based on what you see on the screen.
