I've caught common carp on the fly before but never a grass carp. I have a few places not too far from home that have plenty of grassies. I've seen plenty of videos of grassies being caught with cicada patterns but believe they are farther North because I haven't really seen that activity down here. I finally connected with one on a red berry imitation which is basically a red egg pattern.
