Starting In Trapping

Hey y'all. I'm looking to get into trapping coyotes, bobcat, and fox. I caught my first coon this morning and got hooked. I'm just looking for info on what traps, lures, and bait y'all are using. I've been watching some youtube videos on setting traps and I have a good idea of setting the traps. Thank y'all!

First couple years in it myself. It's fun & can take the kids to check & reset. I never knew there was so many coons behind my house until I started doing it. My only luck with coyote so far is pics on trail cam. I only have a dozen mb550 traps & 4 dog proof traps. Have used lures from f&t fur harvesters (whichever they recommend) the first year & I don't remember name brands. Couple from cabellas to try this year don't remember brands either. Dry dog or cat food in the DP traps works best for me in that type trap. Some left over trimmings from deer worked in my dirt hole traps best..... u will be surprised about how many neighbors have dogs they don't keep put up that get in your traps too if u do back behind the house trapping like I do

I have 1 DP trap that I used to catch the coon. I used cat food and pancake syrup in it. Thank you very much for the info.

Talked to your dad earlier tonight. I kept a journal on here my first year trapping. Here's a link to that.

I was teaching myself going off what I learned on you tube and wanted feedback from the people who had been doing it for a while. Hopefully it'll help some. I also told your dad I wouldn't mind meeting up with you one day and going over some sets with you. He also told me you were interested in fur handling. Here's a link to coon creeks you tube channel. He has put together a really good fur handling series.
