actually no they dont hog is a hog no they actually smell different i have hog hunted with dogs for bout 5 years and i have shown livestock including domestic swine most of my life and there is a difference

so ,,, it would be best not to introduce my dogs to a domestic pig??

I agree, a hog is a hog. My dogs have caught domestic hogs before that had gotten out of a pen. A nasty rank wild boar hog will have a much stronger odor maybe but it is all hog.

I just dont want to train them on a domestic pig and then them get in the woods and not know the scent , i guess its all the same. thanks for the answers
