So I was finally able to make it out to the CMP in Talladega today to try out my service grade M1. I tell ya guys, this is one of the sweetest weapons I own!!! The folks over at the Aniston store couldn't have been easier to deal with during the purchase! If ANYONE is considering purchasing a service grade from them I highly recommend it!!!!!

It's an absolute joy to shoot!!!! I can see how it becomes an addiction collecting these things!!!!

First time shooting her  can't wait to practice some more.

Whats all that stuff flying out of it? Looks like you need a new gun. $100 and I'll dispose of it properly for you...

That's a sweet rifle, if I get back into shooting again I'm going to get one before they are gone. Good job!

Thank you sir! Good news! I heard today that we are getting all of the ones back from South Korea. You should get one for sure! They will have some REALLY nice ones cycling through.

Latest Garand Collectors Assn (GCA) Mag says 90k from Korea and 90 K from Phillipines, The mag has pix of rifles in the original Springfield Armory barrels and also in original barrels from the post war rebuild program. It should be a wonderful "fix" for those with the problem. The mag also has an article about finding 2 original 1940 gas trap rifles in recent army shipment to CMP. If you're a Garandaholic, you really should join the GCA, if only for the magazine.

And the $10 DVD is a must for anyone with an M1.
