Just outside highlands nc I took this photo. The one made a bluff charge at my car once.

They looked about the same size to me. I'm no judge on bears but my guess would have them 150 plus or minus.

They have small ears, therefore they are big bears.

Yep, that nose and that rump on the near one tells the tale. And that one in the background ain't no shrimp. Look how fat the head and neck is, and look at those stumpy little legs. That's a fat bear. Probably been eating lots of roadtrip fare like Pringles and gummy worms.
