Default Juvenile snake ID

I'm ok at identifying adult snakes but no juveniles. Can any of you guys ID this one? I accidentally ran over him while cutting grass this week. His head was mangled up so I couldn't really determine if he had a viper type head.

It`s a Dekay`s brown snake.

I agree with Nic, but I would point out it is probably an adult. They are small snakes that feed on slugs, snails and earthworms....the biggest ones won't reach two feet. They are mature at around 12 inches.
