Micro Dove Field

I have about 2.5 acres of unused field behind my house. I can plant up to 1.86 acres of it. I thought about planting millet this year. Just experimentally. I have seen M.Landrum post pics of small dove plots with at least some success. Am I wasting my time? I only have limited access to a tractor. But I have a small utv harrow, a tiller, a backpack sprayer, and a zero turn mower to work with.

The Bible says , "Where there no vision the people perish!"Where there is no plot surely no birds will perish" Just get out there in that one acre and have fun, throw some sunflower seeds in with the millet and be sure and take some pictures???

I’ve have had some great shoots over a small spot. Well worth planting.

I wouldn't think almost 2 acres is all that small. If I had it I'd plant it. Good luck

I have a small field like that and I limit it to .410 guns only good times
