My son is 12. 23-24in draw by measuring finger tip to finger tip. He can pull 25-30 pounds. What is best choice between samick sage 35pounds at 28 or samick shadow 25 or 30 pounds at 24 inch draw thanks for input

How tall is he? The bow really don't need to be any taller than he is. Also I would not start him with that much weight he might be able to pull that much a few times but he will appreciate a lighter bow to shoot all day and it will be more fun. The trick with kids bows is getting the correct arrow so he will have good trajectory and good flight

Consider a bow that is 40# @28". At his draw it will only be 26-28# or so and will give him some room to grow. At 12 years old he will need a new bow every year if you go with a kids bow. It really depends on his strength/stature. If he is an athletic child it should not be a problem.
