A Stanford study of nearly 3000 students shows that the more religious the person, the smarter they are in school. The grades of the atheist are not mentioned, but they are cited in the study. I didn't have time to read the entire paper yet. Maybe the scores of the atheist are listed later in the report.
I also found it interesting that being jewish scored a higher amount of avoiders and atheist than any other religion.
