I've been seeing more and more turkeys on my land during the Fall for the last few years. I've seen up to 20 or so birds while deer hunting, but I've never even seen a turkey close to my land during the Spring. Well, except one jake that wandered into my backyard on Easter Sunday morning a few years back. I went home this weekend to do some things around the house and I found the rye in some of my foodplots to be 4-5 feet high and the oats about 2 1/2 feet high. I also found some fresh turkey tracks and a dust bowl. Even still I never expected to see this tom struttin his stuff on my camera on opening day. Too bad I wasn't in the woods.
