Default Looks like they have turned em in

It appears that all the bow hunters must be usen their rifles. Soon as the gun season opened no one is killing deer with a bow!! Where are the posts?

Just look in the kill post on the bowhunting challenge section .... you'll see plenty of deer killed with bows during gun season .

I won't lie, after a slow early bow season I pulled out the rifle. Got two down now and plan on going back to bow only. Now I can afford to be patient and wait on big boy!! It's a lot easier knowing the family will have plenty of venison for the year.

lots of folks at this time of yr are holding out passing up doe`s and young bucks right now trying to score on a decent buck.

Let the rut pass and you will see plenty of doe`s being taken.
But but there are still a few girls being turned on the score card!

Hunting with my gun has lost it's thrill a long time ago
being close and doing the work it takes to stick a deer
has always made me feel as if I could fend for myself.
For me it's the only way now.

Default only the bow here in Cobb County:

And I don't hear any rifle shots at all!.....a good thing since it's an archery only county for deer.
At 58 years old I'm afraid I'm getting lazy and prefer the evening hunts. Getting up early in the cold is getting less fun for me. Work has been hectic and busy and now with an hour less daylight in the evening it's even harder to get in the stand.
Hmmm....sounds like I'm whining....!
OK...I'm going hunting.

im still going at it with my bow.... I haven't shot my deer rifle in over 4 years!

It's the stick and string for me! (although I question myself for this when those bruisers hang up just out of range)

Theres just nothing like letting that arrow fly

Still at it in Heard Co. with the stick and string. I shot one opening morning of bow season and have not had an opportunity to get one within bow range since. Maybe now that the weather is getting cooler things will change.
