My arrow will be 27.5 to 28 inches. I shoot 125 grain heads and want at least 30 grain inserts. Should I build .300 or .350 spine arrows? Bow is PSE Decree HD #60 28.5 draw.

28.5 is borderline between a 300-350 spine

I went with .300 spins gold tip kinetic Pearce. My bow Elite Impulse 34 28.5in 76lbs.

They have a half outinsert think it weighs 43grs I don't need 125gr heads but they fly like darts an I'm sticking with them. I think 60lb bow 330-350 range should suit u well.

That's what I was thinking. If I was shooting 70 I would go .300 for sure. I just don't want to be under spined.

I have shot a 300 spine for the last few years. Arrow is 27", DL is 28.5" and last year my DW was 58lbs. I did have a 50 grain insert and 175 grain heads but it shot fine. Was probably stiff but it flew fine.

For the last couple of years, I've shot a pse arrow, the radial x weave, in a 200, which is actually a .454 spine arrow. Don't know why we do it that way, I wish they would use the actual spine number...Anyway, my arrow is 26.5" long, cut to cut, shooting a 165gr broadhead. Haven't had any issues with tuning at all. It's short enough that it's not too weak. 60lb bow with 27.5" draw...

I shoot a 525grn, 29" Easton Axis 340 with 50grn inserts and 125grn QAD Exodus broadheads with a 60lb. They fly great!

I am inclined to say that you will get better arrow flight with the 300. Like has been above mentioned you are right on the border and these charts dont take into consideration the 125 grain tips. Once you add the brass insert your starting to weaken that spine further. If you want to stick with the 350's, cut them short of 28. My money would be shoot a 300 at 28 and you'll get the best arrow flight that way. Tell us what you find.

That 340 is a smidge tiffer. Likely why they like that set up more than the 350 will do him I believe. I could be wrong.
