Trucks

I am in South America and most of their small trucks are diesel. I sure wish I had one. Seen a ton of Chevrolet Luv trucks still going. That goes to show you they can build a good reliable truck that will last. Friend has a new Ford Ranger diesel I wish I had it think 2015. Very nice truck. Seems like the cars here are put to test lot worse than there and keep going.

Manufacturers can make and sell different vehicles in other countries than they can here in the US , mainly because they don't have to meet the stringent emissions/mileage/ and safety regulations that our government requires here. A lot of our drivetrain platforms would last longer and run better if they weren't hampered by emissions and mileage requirements.

Just came back from Argentina and saw Toyota Hilux in diesel and a Hyundai mini van diesel like our Dodge with diesel and 5 speed. Ever car or truck that I rode in had "check engine" light on. No big deal there.
