Selling tanned fur

Can I legally sell a pelt from a furbearer that I legally caught and tanned myself? I am talking about selling to someone other than a licensed fur buyer. Please point me to the actual law. I have searched and can't find it.

I would contact the DNR by e-mail and keep a copy of their reply. If you're selling bobcats or otters I would get C.I.T.I.E.S. tags just to be safe. If you call 770-918-6400 they will eventually find someone to take the information needed and mail you the tags.

I only have a coon right now and intend to keep it for a wallhanger. I was just thinking about possibilities for next year. I have CITIES tags for my cats and otters, though. Thanks for the reply.
