So it happened. I was fishing the Coosa River and my Merc didn't get me back to the ramp. THANK YOU to the nice family that towed me and my friend yesterday. So I have flooded the engine trying to start it. The spark plugs are good and they are getting fire. The engine is turning over when I pull it and it sounds like it wants to run... then dies. Does anyone know of a good mechanic? I live in Canton, Ga. Thanks!

I'd bet it's the carb that needs cleaned
If you can run a screen driver and a wrench, you can clean it.

YouTube should be full of videos on how to.

Will cost you a can of carburetor cleaner from the parts store. Maybe $4-7

If you don't want to do it your self we have had decent service out of "full throttle" on Victoria road. They are just south of little river bridge off bells ferry. If not them we usually take our work motors to marietta marine which is right at the little river bridge on bells ferry. although they do tend to take a while as they stay real busy.
