I think I have what you need to mount the portable one. It is the black plastic material they use to line end loader buckets. I use it to mount powder measures to, to make them a bit more manageable. It is 3/4" thick and may have enough to make the size you mentioned or an inch or so smaller...pretty tough stuff...should last you a minute
