The City of Austell is looking to fill open positions within the fire department. Applicants must possess a minimum of state of Georgia EMT, while EMT-A or Paramedic is preferred.
Salary Information: Starting Paramedic : $37,273.00 ; Starting EMT: $35,489.00 Annually

Department Overview:
City of Austell Fire & Emergency Services is comprised of 21 budgeted full time positions and 8 part time positions. We provide structural fire protection, specialty rescue, vehicle and machinery extrication, and water rescue to the residents of the city of Austell and through mutual aid to surrounding areas. We also provide advanced life support services for our area by staffing each of our apparatus to the A.L.S. level.
The department works a rotating 24 hrs. on-duty, 48 hrs. off-duty with overtime paid on overtime worked.

Necessary Certifications:
Must be: National registry: EMT-I, EMT-A, Paramedic. Or Georgia certified: EMT, or Paramedic to be eligible to be hired for the position.
Disqualifications:
Felony, Criminal Activity Disqualifiers: Must have a clean criminal record.
Must have no past DUI or other major driving convictions.
Additional Information: All candidates must pass a physical agility test, background check, psychological test, and EMS skills assessment to be considered for employment.
