Chukar in Lawrenceville??

Hey, gang! How common are chukar in the Lawrenceville area? Last night, I found a roadkill chukar in a heavy commercial/residential area and took it home with me. I know they've been introduced to the States but I can't find any info on wild populations around here; everything I've read has been about guided hunts out in the sticks. I figure it's unlikely somebody's raising them in a backyard farm setup. Any thoughts on where this bird could've come from?

Awesome. Thanks, guys. I may take a tour of the neighborhood I found it near, see if I can spot any more out of sheer curiosity. I'm sorry for the owner's loss, but very pleased with my gain. I'll practice on some pigeons or something before I try to taxidermy this one.
