Other than being beautiful shots. the fact that the birds are sharing the hand/food is amazing, they sure don't act that friendly around our feeders:)

I read some where that they only do this when they are migrating. Once they claim their territory for the summer they are aggressive towards each other.

COOL!!!!

Alfred G. Martin wrote a book called "Hand Taming Wild Birds at the Feeder" sometime in the early to mid-1960's. At Amazon or other used books stores on the web, you can get it for a couple of bucks.
