Rossi .22 Magnum revolver

I'm not much of a wheelgun man but I picked this one up today.

It's a .22magnum, stainless finish; double action is smooth and surprisingly light..single action is light and crisp. It's not overly large but not too small either. It fits my hand well. It appears to have been fired very little.

What's this worth in $ value?

I have the same gun in 22 lr. As I recall, I paid $185 for it used about 5-6 years ago. Absolutley the best 22 pistol I've ever owned. I carry mine fishing mostly. It has ruined the day of many-a-snake. I don't know if $185 was good or not,,,, I just wanted it. It has proven it's value in my life though.

I traded it once for a used John Deere 185 riding more. I regretted it almost immediatley. The mower crapped out after two seasons. I traded an old rusted SKS to get the 22 back. I don't believe I'll part with it again.

BTW- Find you some black rubber grips from a Rossi J-frame 38,,,, the kind with molded finger grooves,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,they make a world of difference.

This is the model 515..found an auction link on Gunbroker where one sold for $310 a few weeks ago.

I got in it for less than the auction sell price.

I saw a couple of these going for $250. I would guess it is worth at least $225 to $275. Knowing what I know, I would not pay over $250 and would shop for one around $200.

Here's a shot of the grip upgrade I mentioned earlier. Congrats on the new shooter! :shoot:

You dirty rat. I have been looking at that Rossi for a couple weeks. I went in one day last week with the intention of buying it but Mike wasn't in to haggle with. I was really impressed with it, the action was silky smooth. Congrats on a good catch.

It's a dirty job Chris, but someone's got to do it.

The ugly thing is my daughter's Ford Ranger Splash has got a bad electrical short that I am going to have to get repaired...I hope I don't have to sell it to help pay for the repairs. :banginghe
