Do they make a camera that will connect to my Wifi and send me an email when it takes a pic. The camera will be set up at the edge of my yard so it would be capable of connecting to Wifi. I would like to do this wireless

Not sure if the will email you. But there are Wi Fi security cameras you can setup on a recorder.

Yes. Got 2 friends that have one. One uses wifi on his house to watch em in his back yard. The other gets emails. He pays by data usage. It is a predetermined amount per month. Prepaid.

Wifi = you aren't paying for data usage, your wireless router handles all the traffic.
I buddy of mine has a wireless security camera set up, it stores data offsite, has remote pan and tilt night, nisght vision, and he can monitor remotely it from anywhere in the world, or even space if he happened to be an astronaut.

I have not tried it and wonder if it has the range, but there are SD cards with wifi built in.
