Well, hopefully the cold weather quits coming in by the last week of April as that is when I am planning on planting.

If I am planting summer plots, I wait til the Ag fields are in and established before planting.

This allows the herd to get diverted to the Ag fields before I plant - otherwise my plots may get wiped out immediately.

Our oats and crimson clover fields generally feed until late April / early May so I would not need to plant before that time anyway.

We are also experimenting with three fields of ladino clover and hope these last for 4-5 years.

Good luck!
