Werk'n on that an got him some lessons at the local training center. Right now weather is the biggest problem. Been too dern wet to be out there on the tee

Good luck to him. This has been a crazy spring for weather..........all the games seem to be super cold and windy.

It was easier in my day to get a scholarship with Wrestling. But now it has taken off and it's hard to get to the top now.

His biggest problem right now as I see it is, he has gotten used to hitting the Little League pitchers throwing 45 to MAYBE 60mph an has gotten used to waiting to see the pitch BEFORE he winds up. Can't seem to convince him he needs to wind up as the pitcher is throwing it THEN decide to swing or not. Consequently he is consistently behind the ball

When he still gets one of the slower pitchers he hits it pretty good

Gotta werk on his blocking too. Still doesn't really like getting in front of a wild one

I used to have my catchers ditch they glove, put they hands behind they back, then block foul pole to foul pole until using that gear to knock it down was 2nd nature

When Buzz made the step up to hitting HS pitching, we had to put the "load" in his swing when the pitchers arm went back. Has he watched video of how the ball is getting past him? Mid 70's will be the norm once he gets to HS, and there will be plenty of kids throwing 80+.

Of course, ery kid when you ask him what he throws will say "85 or so," and they usually top out around 75.

Another useless club doomed to fail, or continually needing members. 700+ acres with 21 members but you only get to hunt the left over space nobody has ever seen deer on.

Who in their right mind ever thought this was a good way to set up a club?:banginghe

Need to buy a good camera to film him. I've tried it with my cell but it is poor footage to say the least but even I can see him struggling to catch up with it because he subconsciously KNOWS he is late

You can see he is either slapping at the ball or turning his entire body trying desperately to get that bat around in time
