One of my buddies is heading up to Monroe County Mid-December to do a little duck hunting. He's no yuppie but he's new to the sport. His main concern is staying warm in the pits, I wasnt sure what kind of advice to offer him since I have never had the privilege of going to arkansas. His fellow hunting buddies recommends 1600 gram thinsulate boots but I said He would be just fine with 1000 gram thinsulate and 5 mm neoprene. What do ya'll think?

I live in NEArk Jackson co, and I'm no big duck hunter but last January I stayed plenty warm with just my 1100g with 3mm and was sitting on a ditch dump just keep ur feet warm with good socks am poss footwarmers!!!

The pit plus waders is pretty good at taking away a lot of the effect of cold temp and wind. Remember, take along some "S" hooks and you can take some layers off and hang them up.

Too warm is better!!

:D
