Summer Reds/Trout

Headed to Richmond Hill area next week to fish the sound around St. Catherine and Ossabaw Islands and maybe running south to Blackbeard. Haven't had the best of luck in previous July trips but work dictates when I can go.
Can anybody give me advice so I can stay away from the sharks and maybe catch some good reds/trout. Thanks for your help!!

No guides this time around. Boat hasn't been wet in 3 months so its all on me. Its really not all about the fish anyway..Thanks just the same..

Newell Creek on the south end of Ossabaw Island holds fish. The feeder creeks off Johnson Creek (St. Catherine's Island) are pretty good too.

Give artificial baits a try. Will almost eliminate catching sharks and rays. You might not get as many bites as live, but the fish you catch will be quality fish.
