Officially unofficial eclipse pics thread

I believe that would have been Venus, correct?

4 planets were visible, the pics I took were of Mars, it was shining red to the naked eye.

Jupiter, Mercury, Mars, Venus were all visible.

We were supposed to have 99% in Athens. I did see a star, crickets and frogs singing, outdoor office lights came on. Didn't get as dark as I thought it would. It was a cool 2 minutes visiting with everybody in the parking lot and sharing eclipse glasses. A drone even flew over.

It got dusky here, just looked weird, the birds didnt quit or crickets start, might go out to Texas, Ark, Mizzou for 2024, should have driven up to SC or NC orTN for a rare event I guess.

Eclipse pattern through the trees?

pattern cast through trees while partially eclipsing

I live in Toccoa and went to the hunting lease in the middle of a big pasture. Could see it clearly here. At total eclipse there were turkeys about 100yds away that went to roost. Had them all confused.

Awesome pics y'all

Wife caught a good one

My wife got this pic during the "total". It's my 7 yr old Grandson posed for the shot.

I think it's awesome. Prolly 1:28 CDT, just south of Hopkinsville, Ky.
