Bluegills on the 3wt

Caught these along with enough to make a couple of messes of fish on Seminole this past week. They averaged about a half pound apiece and a good many of them were "painted" bream. Them thangs are fun to catch, and mighty good eating.

It's hard to find something more enjoyable to do than catching big bull bream on a fly rod, except maybe eating them that night. :cheers:

I am into lightweight/UL flyrods. Have a 00, 1 and two 3 weights, all Sage. While I enjoy the 00 and the 1, the 3 weight is probably ideal for bream. Allows you to throw a decent size popper with distance, while still enjoying the fight.
