Franklin-Chattahoochee Stripers 4-19

Got out on the Hooch yesterday with three new friends, and it does appear the Spring run is quickly coming to an end. Put in at Snake Creek at sunup, and fished upstream from there for about 2.5 hrs. Nothing to show for that except for one small straggler hybrid and a spot. Headed downstream of the Brush Creek area and was able to get on some stripers for a while until the gar decimated my bait. Managed to put a decent number in the boat with the largest being a 32" fish. All fish came on live gizzard shad, nothing on cut bait which we didn't fish much at all. Water was relatively clear and temps in the 69-72 range. Off the water by 2:00.

Nicely done!

We ran up to the shoals yesterday evening to kill a few hours. Found 8-10 decent hybrids and 1 striper and that was it.

Finally starting to wind down. Bit awkward this year because of the mild winter and the off and on weather patterns, but it was a good run all the Same!
