What Happened to him?

Hey, I am new to the forum. I have been lurking around for a while though. A few weeks ago I set up a trail cam behind my house to see what comes and goes. A nice buck showed up yesterday but he is missing half of his rack? Looks to me like a clean cut. I was hoping some of you more experienced deer hunters can tell me what may have happened to him? Also, how old do you think he is? Thanks!

It looks to me like he shed early, or he could have just broke off at the base from fighting.

Looks like a run in with a car with right front leg,and same side rack gone.

I have two (would be) eights on the farm. One with four on the right and the left is broken off just above the G1, and one with four on the left and the right is broken off at the G2. Both are similar in size to the above deer. I'm hoping all of them have better outcomes next year.

Fighting breaks off most, but cars definitely take a toll.

Yeah with the right leg being busted up, I would assume he may have lost his rack getting by a vehicle.
