After the shooting it didn't take long for the con artists to start trying to steal money.

Caller ID out of Vegas wanting donation to help shooting victims. Couldn't speak english either.

A real charity takes time to set up, if they are soliciting donations. The phone cos have made it very easy for a con artist to start a new number and run a robocall. They don't care about legitimate use, Just as long as they get paid.

If you feel like helping thru a donation. Do it thru your church or an established method in existance BEFORE the shooting.

Just be aware. Those that are dishonest will do their best to skim money.

Rule of thumb: if they call you out of the blue, they probably aren't legit.
