Finally got the trip in this weekend, pretty much skunked 3 days out of 4.
FINALLY saw some finger mullet in backwater, although shrimp were about everywhere, fishing was S L O W.....
Until Sunday.
Laid into the biggest bull red I've ever had on line, honestly I thought I'd snagged a stump or big limb till it ran.
Wife got video of the fight, or about 20 minutes of it. Got to boat-side and bent to grab it and line broke rubbing the rub-rail.
I coulda puked...
Got a couple bull sharks, rays and trout all catch n release. Was hoping for a grouper to filet and release, but it didn't happen.
