Been looking into habitat improvement and keep coming across switchgrass. I'm interested in using it for cover/bedding, possibly privacy and screening. My questions are is it invasive? I'll be planting roughly 2 acres of clover and wheat eventually, possibly something this summer. I know it's slow to establish the first year, but after its established, 1. would it spread and choke out my plot?
2. Can I plant it now
3. Would it do good in canopy/low light/shaded areas?
Also my main plot is only about 30 yards wide, but over 300 yards long, would screening be worth it? I was also thinking of doing little patches within this plot, or strips and whatnot
