I have an older boat 1985 Mercury 50hp motor. My boat has been in the garage not being used. It hasn't been started in a few years and I would like to get it up and running. Does anyone know of a place near Lawrenceville Ga, I can take it and get it serviced?

Your best bet is to do it yourself. Not that hard. If you want to try post a "i'll give it a try" and many of us will chime in with help. Best to know your motor before getting out in it.

Ive done most everything, but the carb is gummed up. I don't want to mess with that, because im afraid I might mess it up or have it run to lean and burn up the motor.

decarbing itself is fairly straight forward. disassemble one carb and soak it in berryman's carb cleaner, rinse and blow dry with air compressor. Use a piece of copper wire to 'rod' out passages and jets and reassemble using the still assembled carb for reference.
rinse, lather, repeat.

FWIW spray can carb cleaner doesn't work as well on marine carbs, it's simply not effective at soaking the residue.

Change filters and check or replace lines to fuel pump.

YouTube probably has videos of your exact motor.
