Well the current has been off for about 3 hours now, but thanks to propane we'll have fried chicken and a cup of hot coffee shortly. Hope all is well with the rest of y'all. Be safe.

Gone but not forgotten
We lost power at 10:15 this morning. No worries, got charcoal for the egg and propane for the Blackstone and Bayou Classic. When it's safe for the crews to get out they will be on it. Good job!

Looking good! My Mom is here with us, and so far so good. We're surrounded by large old hardwoods on one side and tall pines on the other. Had prepared an area in the basement for all of us to be able to sleep down there tonight. Got the generator in a sheltered area outside and ready to go. Maybe a few small limbs down and not a hint of a power issue here so far....... hope I didn't just jinx myself.

Cooking up some pork loin, baked taters, cornbread and fried okra.

Fried chicken is a favorite among this bunch. Nice.

Hope you didn't do the voodoo on you're self. We been on and off since 2:00 pm yesterday. On the Gen set as I type, but, it's not that bad. Could be on candles and cold water,no water, freezers thawing among other things.

Yall be safe.
