Everything we ate this weekend had some wild in it.

Friday night-I made fried deer steak with gravy, bacon/onion fried homegrown taters and cast-iron cornbread:

Saturday-went and killed some doves. If life gives you doves, make General Tso's Dove with stir-fried veggies and wild rice mix. BTW, this was delicious!

Sunday-myself, my wife, and the wiener dog went out hiking and mushroom hunting. Found a bunch of lobster mushrooms and a few boletes. Paired them up with a grilled deer backstrap, a baked tater, and some garlic bread. Mmmmm. I hurted myself.

Looks good NC. Nothing like eating something you picked, grew or harvested.

Oh, and by the way, I would or could hurt myself on either plate.
